If you’ve watched Bridgerton Season 4, you probably found yourself staring at Sophie Baek… but not just for the storyline. Her skin? Absolutely unreal. I’m talking smooth, poreless, lit-from-within glow. The kind of skin that makes you pause the screen and wonder, “Wait… how is that even possible?”
Sure, there’s makeup involved—but after watching her Vogue Beauty Secrets routine, it’s clear: her glow starts with skincare. And the best part? Her routine is actually doable—and includes a mix of luxury and affordable products.
Let’s break it down step-by-step.
1. Start with a Spa Headband (yes, it matters)
Okay, this isn’t skincare but get your hair out of your face before anything touches your skin. It sounds simple, but it makes your routine feel intentional (and honestly, more fun). Plus, no one wants cleanser stuck in their baby hairs.
So grab a spa headband and get them out of the way. The cuter the headband, the more likely you are to stick to your routine.
2. Cleanse with a Hydrating Cleanser
This cleanser uses Japanese rice powder which softens the skin and makes it more luminous. Its hyaluronic acid and Okinawa algae keeps skin hydrated. It’s a gentle, bu effective cream cleanser that will wash away the day without stripping your skin barrier.
3. Soothe with a 15-minute Mugwort Mask
I’ve seen the I’m From Mugwort Mask around a lot and have always been curious about it. It appears to be great for soothing and calming irritated skin. The brand boasts its instant soothing, sebum care, and rapid hydration. These are all things my skin could definitely use.
4. Reduce Pores with an Exfoliating Toner
Yerin uses Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner. PHA and BHA are great for gentle exfoliation and unclogging pores. Its added bonus of watermelon and cactus extract help to soothe and hydrate the skin while exfoliating, making it gentle enough for daily use.
5. Treat with a Multi-Active Serum
The Arencia Holy Hyssop serum….whoa. This is the most interesting serum I’ve ever seen. It’s a gel-like consistency. I’ve always hated how serums run down my fingers. I’ve also never enjoyed putting them directly on my face and trying to catch it before it drips off. This serum solves that problem. It’s packed with Vitamin A, C, E, Niacinamide, and peptide. It claims to target post-acne hyperpigmentation, even out skin tone, refine lines, and add a glow. I’m sold.

6. Sculpt and De-Puff with Gua Sha
Because I’m Chinese, I actually learned about gua sha at a young age except not for the face. My parents used to do a gua sha ‘massage’ on our backs with a spoon and some Chinese ointment whenever we were sick, especially if it was really windy that day. The massage pressure was so much so that it would leave red marks on the skin. The idea is that it improves circulation and gets the air out of your body.
This is obviously very different. Facial gua sha is much less aggressive. It also aims to boost circulation, but also sculpts the face and enhances lymphatic drainage. I’m not sure if I’ll be adding this to my routine yet as I’m a busy mom of two kids under 2. However, I believe the benefits are worth a try even if it’s just one or two times per week.
7. Brighten Those Undereyes
BEAUTY OF JOSEON! How did I not know they had an eye serum??? I’m a diehard fan of their sunscreen. I trust this brand with my skin. The Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum contrains 3 key ingredients. It has retinal liposome for collagen synthesis and wrinkles, niacinamide to even the skin tone, and ginseng extract for hydration and nourishment. I already bought it because it was on sale at Amazon. I’ve been using it day and night for 2 days now and I think I’m starting to see a little improvement. We’ll definitely need more time to know for sure.
8. Lock Everything In with a Milky Moisturizer
The TATCHA Dewy Milk Moisturizer is definitely more of a lightweight moisturizer. It has Japanese Purple Rice and prebiotic green tea extract to give a dewy glow. It also has zinc hyaluronate to balance oil and keep the skin hydrated. This is probably too lightweight for people with dry skin. As for myself, I have combination skin so I’m curious about this moisturizer and will add it to my ‘try’ list.
9. Never Skip SPF (The Real Glow Secret)
Lastly, sunscreen of course! No skincare routine is complete without it. Yerin uses the Harharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen. I always love trying new sunscreens to see if there’s anything better out there. Again, I’ve been loyal to Beauty of Joseon’s for a while now but they recently had to remove it from the US market due to FDA regulations not approving newer UV filters that are used in their formula. So, I’m in the market for a replacement.
The Airyfit looks like a great option. It has rice bran oil for antioxidation, niacinamide and daisy flower extract to improve skintone, heartleaf extract for soothing, and ceramide to strengthen the skin barrier. And to add to all that, it’s also vegan and PETA approved! They claim to have a lightweight texture and velvety finish. What more could I ask for honestly?
Final Thoughts
Yerin Ha’s skincare routine is jampacked with great ingredients. It’s no wonder her skin looks so healthy and glowing all the time. What I love most about her routine is that it’s balanced. It’s not overloaded with extra steps but still covers everything. Cleanse, soothe, treat, hydrate, and protect. It’s the kind of routine that builds real, lasting glow. And if I’m being honest, I’m very close to copying the entire thing.
Would you try Yerin Ha’s routine—or are you already using some of these steps?
